Netta Architects was selected by the City of Newark’s to design its new Police Headquarters building. The new facility is 85,000 square feet and includes the police directors office, community meeting rooms, administrative office, locker rooms, processing rooms, temporary holding chambers, and command center for Newark’s Office of Emergency Management which was designed to Federal Bureau of Investigation standards. The Donald Payne Police Headquarters is responsible for protecting 65,000 residents in the South Ward Neighborhood of the city of Newark, New Jersey. The basement level of the facility is a fully 175 cell operational detention center.
